Visiting the Goats
The goats love visitors. A few things keep everyone happy and healthy:
- Flat hand, please. Offer treats on an open palm with your fingers together. Goats don’t mean to nibble fingers, but they will.
- No people food. Bread, chips, crackers and sweets can make goats sick.
- Skip the landscaping. Many yard plants are toxic to goats, including azalea, rhododendron, yew and cherry leaves. When in doubt, don’t.
- Hands stay outside the fence. Please don’t climb on or reach over it.
